The room was clean and cozy, with a lovely view, and the coffee was great. Our host was wonderful too, letting us check in later in the evening when we realized we were running late. This was the best stay of our Montenegro road trip.

The drive up can be nerve-racking at night, with very steep turns and a road that’s mostly unlit. But once you’re there, the mountain setting means nights aren’t too hot, even though there’s only a ventilator and no AC. It’s a lovely stone hotel, and the rooms have private bathrooms and were squeaky clean, which matters most to me. The host is so friendly, helpful and sociable that it feels a bit like staying with friends. Breakfast is available for 8 euros per person, with a buffet of salami, cheeses, bread, crepes, omelets and fruit.

The views are breathtaking, and the building itself is beautiful. We loved our stay, with such nice, helpful staff and pleasant rooms. You’ll need a car, though you’d need to drive anyway to have an interesting trip around Montenegro. We absolutely recommend it!

We stopped in the mountains and stayed at this hotel while touring Montenegro in a convertible for our honeymoon. We’re from Kharkov, Ukraine, and the scenery, fresh air and countryside feel reminded us of our dacha villages. The decor has an authentic style, the owner was very polite and sociable, and the staff were friendly. The food was delicious. We enjoyed it so much, thank you, and we recommend it!
