Hotel Toljic

Friendly hosts, a relaxed atmosphere, and a good location made this excellent accommodation. Highly recommend it!

We stayed for a pleasant week in Petrovac during the height of the tourist season. It was our first time at the "TOLJIC" hotel, and the hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful from our arrival right through to our departure. We had half-board, and both the quality and quantity of the food were at an enviable level. The air-conditioned rooms were quite adequate. I’d warmly recommend it for a pleasant holiday, with one thing to keep in mind: there’s no kitchen in the rooms, so it won’t suit "tomato" tourists.

The place is quite nice, though the rooms are reached by an outside staircase and mornings can be noisy because the road to the center goes around there. Don’t expect much sleep after six. Each room has a terrace, but people in the neighboring rooms can use it too. The sea, beach, promenade, stalls, cafes, restaurants, and other services are about 0.5 km away. The bus station is within two minutes, and the shopping center takes five minutes to reach.

The last day, they left us out on the street with two children after not honoring our agreement. We had a room with no terrace or proper place to wash and dry clothes. The owner told us to hang laundry on a window that looked ready to fall. The room was in terrible shape, as the attached photos show, and the price was outrageous. There were ants in the bathroom. The shower cubicle wouldn’t close, its door was coming off, and the stink from the bathroom and whole room made it hard to function. One of the two wardrobes was blocked by a bunk bed. We got this room as punishment, I think, because we chose accommodation only instead of half-board, which would have cost €119 a day for the four of us. They don’t change the towels, so bring toilet paper and soap from home. Bring disinfectant too, since you won’t get a clean room. Look under the bed and you’ll see how long it’s been since a proper clean, we found bottles, boxes, and other stuff there. The so-called motel hotel is best avoided if you don’t want to end up like us. Hope this helps someone. 😁
