Hotel Astoria

We tried the pizzas and Krempita, and both were very fresh. The prices seemed reasonable for Tivat, especially since the place looks quite luxurious from outside. The sea view was lovely, with quiet background music that suited the atmosphere. Staff were attentive and professional, and the restaurant was clean, though the toilet could have been cleaner. We were very satisfied and would recommend it to anyone visiting Tivat.

The room was great, and we loved the balcony overlooking the sea and harbour. The receptionist was really nice and professional. Sadly, the street was noisy at night, so this isn’t a good pick if you want somewhere quiet. We ate in the restaurant twice. The food was very good, but service was slow and poor both times. Breakfast took almost an hour even though the restaurant wasn’t busy, and in the evening there were more delays and some mix-ups because the staff didn’t speak or understand English very well. A shame, given how good the food was.

I haven’t stayed at the hotel, but I ate there recently and had a great experience. The meal was incredible, the drinks were good, and I had the strongest espresso I’ve tried in Montenegro. Prices felt fair for the quality.

We wanted to ask the waiter for a menu, but he came over and silently took our coffees instead. His manner felt arrogant and inappropriate. We won’t be back.
