Kosher Hotel Franca

I stopped by Kosher Franca Hotel for an espresso. The staff were very polite, and the decor and atmosphere were both lovely. It has a restaurant as well as a hotel, and I definitely recommend it.

The location worked well for us: it’s near a beach and park, with a large supermarket about 100 meters away. Walking to central Tivat takes around 10-15 minutes. The hotel is also roughly 800 meters north of the airport, directly beneath the flight path. There aren’t night flights, but planes take off about every 15 minutes from 8am to 8pm. We had a wonderful trip, and staying at the Kosher Hotel was one of the highlights. Whenever we needed anything, we asked and received excellent service. I recommend it. I never give five stars on principle, so this is an excellent review with four. Our room had a double bed, a single bed, and a good-sized balcony with views of the pool and sea. I’d have preferred a sofa instead of the single bed for more comfort. The bathroom was clean with a great shower, and there was a safe and minibar. Unfortunately, the minibar’s freezer compartment didn’t work, so the ice cream we bought at the supermarket down the road defrosted. The reception lounge and dining room were spacious and comfortable, and the dining room was clean. Meals were tasty, with plenty of variety and generous portions. The pool was lovely, quiet, and nearly empty. We didn’t use the spa. The synagogue was a little small but sufficient for the Orthodox guests there during our stay. A few small things could have been better. Cleaners came into the room on Shabbat morning while we were praying and turned off the bathroom light. The tea and coffee stand by the kettle had some leftover sugar on it. Bathroom toiletries were limited to an all-in-one shower gel and shampoo, plus liquid soap by the sink. Also, the cleaners should know the requirements of Orthodox Jewish holidaymakers. Check-in was quick and easy, and the man at the desk was helpful. The room was a good size, but those small issues kept it from a five-star rating.

Rachel and the staff were wonderful hosts, and their smiles came as a bonus alongside the delicious, high-quality food with so many flavors. We had a really great vacation. The hotel as a whole felt just about perfect. Highly recommended.

I was surprised by the negative reviews lately. At reception, the staff welcomed us, offered help, and answered extra questions about things to do in Tivat. The hall was spacious, the kosher restaurant was good, and the private pool was nice. Wi-Fi was available on an open network. The hotel also has a synagogue, which I hadn’t seen mentioned. As I understand it, the restaurant serves buffet-style meals depending on how many guests there are.
