I was there with my team for a basketball tournament in the city. The hotel itself was decent, but the service was horrible. The receptionist assumed we’d understand her because we’re Bulgarian and spoke to us in Serbo-Montenegrin. She kept yelling and didn’t answer our questions. In December, we complained that the air conditioning wasn’t working. She responded by yelling rudely that someone was coming to fix it. The repairman went back and forth, then started shouting when he saw our terrace window open, asking how we expected the air conditioning to work with it open. There weren’t any window sensors that could have been causing the problem. The only reason I rate service 2/5 rather than 1/5 is the nice cleaning lady. We had great chats with her during our three-night stay.

The hotel is close to the airport and a 10-minute walk from the city center, so it’s convenient for being near the action while still enjoying a peaceful stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, a nice place to relax after a day in the city. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and ready to assist. We were pleasantly surprised and would definitely come back.

We wanted a simple room near the beach with breakfast and parking included, and it suited us. The beach is very close, and the center is a 10-minute walk away. The service was really good. It worked well for us.

The breakfast was my favorite part. The two men serving it were so warm and cheerful, and the spread had tasty coffee, local dishes, and sweets. I felt really looked after. I only ended up here for a night because I couldn't get to my Airbnb in a nearby town. After a long day travelling across several countries, I was stressed and in a terrible mood, but the desk manager was patient and helpful. She didn't smile that I can remember, though check-in was fast and the room rate was reasonable. They copied my passport but didn't keep it. My room opened onto a balcony shared with another room, with potted plants between the spaces. It was lovely to sit there with a beer and unwind. The room was clean and nicely furnished, and the bed was comfortable. The one concern was the bathroom counter, which felt like it might pull away from the wall with very little pressure. The hotel was a short walk from the bus station, which came in handy. I also met the general manager, who kindly worked out a generous weekly rate when I was thinking of cancelling my potentially troublesome Airbnb and staying here instead. I was surprised by all the negative reviews I read after leaving. My stay was a positive one, and I'd give them a try. @Erowid_Spark on YouTube
