Curani Apartments

We booked Curani apartments through Booking two months ahead for 8 days at 58 a night. The day before we were due to arrive, the owner called to say we couldn’t stay because someone in the accommodation had lost a bag and those people had to remain in the apartment we booked. The only alternative offered was accommodation for 80e. We accepted because we’d already taken vacation time and arranged transport. The listing says check-in starts at 12:00. We got there at 15:00 because of heavy traffic, and found chaos in the apartment while a cleaner was still cleaning. There were no basic cooking utensils and no washing machine. Laundry cost 5e per basket. The bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t lock, and although there was internet, it wasn’t enough for everyone staying there. At 10am on our last day, they came to check us out and said we had to leave right away because they had a reservation, despite the listing saying checkout was until 12pm. This is a disgrace for tourism in Montenegro and Ulcinj. Think carefully before risking your vacation here!

A real horror. The place was old and dirty, including the kitchen, toilet, and floors. Basic items like toilet paper and a hair dryer were missing. The TV didn’t work, and they wouldn’t give us the wifi password. The owner had agreed to provide a baby cot, then stopped answering the phone. We waited more than 45 minutes for someone to unlock our accommodation.

The worst accommodation I’ve ever been to. They charged us 110 euros more, nearly left us without a place to stay, and tried to make us leave early so they could give it to someone else. The people were rude, and after check-in they started lying. We were robbed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL.

The owner canceled our Booking reservation about 12 hours before we were due to arrive. Unfortunately, this isn’t the only hotel or other accommodation that cancels just a few hours before arrival.
