Hotel Gothia

The area is really quiet and remote, so there was no disturbance at all. Breakfast was very good, and everything in the room worked perfectly. Everyone at the hotel was great. Simply amazing, and I’ll definitely come back!

We arrived in Ulcinj today from Slovenia, my wife and I, for our reservation from 7-14.8, breakfast included. A month ago we booked a room with a balcony, but when we called to say we were coming, the man at the property told us our room wasn’t available. He was disrespectful and unprofessional. This isn’t even worth one star. If you want a nice holiday, go miles away from Gothia hotel. A disaster!

The bikes were nowhere to be found, and you can’t pay by credit card at the hotel despite them having the card system installed. The people running the place don’t speak English. The breakfast photos are fake, what they show has nothing to do with what’s there. Some rooms don’t have a separate shower space, so you shower over the toilet. The beds are very uncomfortable and the pillows really hard, with rooms fitted out using the cheapest materials. Also, the hotel is 1.2km from the nearest beach, it’s not beachfront.

There’s no room service, so be ready to ask for towels and anything else you need. The place has a lot going for it, and the rooms are spacious, but their lack of experience could spoil that. It had only opened the previous May, so they still have a lot to improve. Maybe it was because the season was ending, but breakfast was running short on items. They need a bigger food stock and to put more effort into the food and service.
