Enigma Hotel

We're visitors from Shanghai and came here for help after we couldn't get hold of the host at our original accommodation. Katarina at reception was incredibly patient and helpful, and managed to find us somewhere to stay. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and there's a restaurant on the ground floor. Žabljak is a beautiful place in Montenegro, and we'd choose this hotel if we visit again.

The staff were extremely disrespectful. When my brother raised the water problem, one man laughed at him. In room 103 there was a dirty pillow and the beds were uncomfortable. There was no WiFi, so I had to pay for internet, and the bathrooms weren't cleaned properly, with hair left on the sink. Breakfast was cold and bad enough that we ate later at a restaurant. On the second night the water stopped while my sister was showering. She had to stop mid-shower, and we waited half an hour for it to return. When it did, the pressure was very weak. In room 303, the toilet sink was broken, and my mother was lucky not to badly hurt her arm. It was a horrible experience. Please don't book this hotel.

The best hotel in the mountains. The service, food and location are great, the room was very clean, and the spa was nice. Thank you, Enigma!

The shower situation was the last straw. After rafting, my family of five came back wet and cold to find there was no water. Staff asked us to wait five minutes, but it took over 30 minutes before they turned on a temporary water supply. At reception, the staff member I spoke to laughed while I was upset. When I raised my voice, the water came back straight away. The next day we tried to complain to the manager, who had been away for three days and was on the phone. They offered just 10% off one night. After I said that was unfair, they told us, “no money bye bye,” with a rude hand gesture. We had booked an extra night only because we couldn't find another hotel or hostel. The rooms were still being renovated, the bathrooms smelled like sewer, the toilet was stained, and the pillow was dirty. There was no Wi-Fi, and breakfast was cold and dry. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!
