The attic apartment got extremely hot, and the noise was constant: traffic under the window all night, barking dogs, crowing roosters, and a lot of general racket. There was garbage right nearby, and when we arrived the host had left no toilet paper, towels, or trash can. Maybe it could work for one night between destinations, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Cockroaches, a dirty room, and a bad smell. The pictures don’t match reality, and the owner and his concubine seemed likely to be drunk much of the time. If you’re looking to spoil your holiday, this slum is the place.

We got help with everything we needed from the owners, who were genuinely kind and welcoming. A really good place to stay.
