Acacia Beach 66, beautiful Dupleix 250 m from Anse Marcel Beach

I booked a Christmas vacation, then learned weeks after my emails went unanswered that the hotel would close indefinitely on 12/15. I was still within the no-penalty cancellation period the day after booking, but by the time I got the news, I was left scrambling for somewhere else to stay just 10 days before the trip. Expedia did refund me, thankfully, but the hassle was awful. If I could give this minus 5 stars, I would. Avoid at all costs.

We didn't stay overnight. I live on the island and visited on a day pass with two friends, but the way we were treated has me wanting to come back. We found a great place by the pool and spent a serene, beautiful day enjoying the pool, breakfast, lunch, a snack, drinks, champagne, and fruit skewers. Everyone was so attentive and gracious, from the front desk to the pool bartender. We felt treated like royalty. A special thanks to quality manager Jeanelle, restaurant manager Guillaume, and bartender Alexander. We'll definitely return.

The staff were incredible, and for an independently run place the all-inclusive deal is a great value. The setting at the beach in lovely Anse Marcel Bay is spectacular, and I think this property fits better as a family-friendly resort than as an adults-only one. It was Secrets St Martin until June 30, 2025, when it left the Secrets brand and became the independently operated St Martin Beach Hotel. In my view, some negative reviews come from Secrets fans who expected an adult party atmosphere, while this is a secluded tropical 4-Star resort. If you want good value and a great time, this place is worth considering.

The location is amazing, with what I think is the island's best beach. The hotel feels a little dated, probably because Secrets has just left and it's in a transition period. The beds, TVs, and outlets need updating, and the pool could use a sound system. Restaurant choices were limited, though everything we ate was delicious. Staff were always smiling and helpful. During our stay they weren't advertising, so there seemed to be more visitors than staff. The room views are all decent in this U-shaped hotel, so they don't matter much when choosing a room. Parking was free, and Grand case is a 15-minute drive for nighttime entertainment. The place also felt very safe: after housekeeping cleaned our room, our valuables were still there untouched.
