I’m due to arrive tomorrow and still have no check-in details. Hotels.com’s itinerary said someone would contact me seven days before arrival with the unit number and key instructions, but I’ve received no email or message. The phone number goes unanswered, and neither I nor Hotels.com have heard back. The listing calls this place “Marcel Resort,” though it appears to be a condo or apartment, not a resort. I’m worried I could arrive with nowhere to stay and no way to get inside. This has been incredibly stressful and unprofessional. Do not book here.

The accommodation was in poor condition and unlike what the description promised. On top of that, the hotel ignored my calls and messages, making the whole experience stressful. Poor quality and communication. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I haven’t even arrived for my stay, and trying to reach the hotel has already been frustrating. I’ve called and emailed about my reservation and haven’t received a single reply. That feels especially concerning when customers are trusting them with their money and travel plans. If communication is this bad before arrival, I can only imagine what staying there would be like. They need to start responding to guests.

There’s no supermarket or place to eat nearby, so you’ll need to head to Grand Case for that. The apartments are small, but have the essentials, even if you may find a few nonessential things missing. It’s a very quiet spot and well placed for the bay. Cell service across Sint Maarten can be unreliable, and in some areas there’s no signal at all.
