Fantastic Hotel

The room was huge and had a fridge, table, chairs and TV, plus extra fast WiFi. It went beyond what I expected, and there’s a swimming pool behind the hotel too. I can’t complain. If I could give it 10 stars, I easily would. 🤩☀️🏖️👍🏽

I only stayed a short time, but the owner went out of his way to help when I’d forgotten things, including an EU phone charger. He was kind, helpful and knew a lot about the area you can explore on foot. It was a relief to find attentive ownership on site. The room had a great kitchen, and the grocery store is just 1 block away. The hotel is clean, quiet and relaxing, a real gem and a very good deal for the island. I recommend staying here. I’m used to hotels in the USA feeling very distant, with no interaction, local knowledge or assistance.

We were offered a complimentary upgrade to the most luxurious room available, and the staff were warm and went above and beyond to help. It made for a marvelous stay, with wonderful memories and a real desire to return. We hadn’t realized the hotel was closing on October 21st, 2023. A few of its restaurants had already closed, but we had a delightful meal at the Monachus Restaurant. The food was outstanding, with plenty of variety. We wholeheartedly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a place to unwind and relax.

Friendly staff, and there’s even a swimming pool. The hotel is simple, but it has what you need, including a tiny kitchen where you can cook something and a fridge that cools remarkably well. It’s in a quiet urban spot near shops, a laundry, pharmacy and parking lot. The price is modest, though there isn’t much of a view. If you’re going to see Saint Martin’s beautiful sites by car, or staying for other reasons and don’t care about the view, this could be the right place.
