My husband and I tried the spa at La Playa Orient Bay during U.S. Thanksgiving week, and it became one of the best parts of our trip. We started with a couples massage on day one, with Isabel treating me and Luh treating my husband. Both were incredible. I get monthly deep-tissue massages back home in Houston and have had massages around the world, but Isabel may be the best therapist I’ve ever had. She worked my muscles as effectively as a true deep-tissue massage, while keeping it deeply relaxing and avoiding the usual pain or soreness. It was one of the most restorative massages I’ve had. We loved it enough to return two days later for the Hammam treatment, which was just as impressive, grounding, beautifully done, and rejuvenating. This spa is a hidden gem in Saint Martin. Whether you’re at La Playa or a nearby hotel, book ahead. Isabel and Luh are exceptional, and it’s worth making time for. Highly recommend! 💆♀️✨💆♂️

La Playa is a great choice for a relaxing beach holiday, and I highly recommend it. The staff make you feel welcome and are always around if you need help. Catherine at the front desk was especially helpful for arranging dinner, boats, and other plans. I suggest calling her to help organize your trip.

We absolutely loved staying at La Playa. The location is perfect, the rooms were clean, and the hotel staff gave great service. GP and the bar staff treated us so well, and the food and drinks were great. I’ll definitely be back.

The beach itself was very clean, with no cigarette ends or other little bits of trash in the sand. You can see the effort that goes into keeping it that way, and into cleaning or replacing the chairs and mattresses when needed. I hope tourists respect that work. Compared with previous years, I saw many more tourists smoking and leaving their cigarette ends in the sand. I had a great day there thanks to Tristan, who was sincerely available and helpful. It was Monday and there were no reservations, so he kindly offered clients spots in the first row to enjoy the magnificent view. He kept an eye on things without intruding. I’ll come back mostly for the service. Thank you, Tristan, you made my day!

Online booking here can be misleading. You may select a room that looks available, then get an email three days later saying the hotel is full. That can happen even when management already knows there are no rooms left.
