Le Flamboyant Village

There’s very little beach at Flamboyant, and most beach photos in this ad aren’t of the property. The buildings are dilapidated and falling apart, and the place isn’t nice to dogs.

I spent a month there and was repeatedly harassed about my dog. People in the complex don’t like dogs. The buildings are leaking, falling apart, and in horrible condition, with trash everywhere. Our boat was moored right in front of the Flamboyant, and I’d take my dog ashore to walk and go to the store. I always picked up after him; he never barked or bothered anyone. Still, people in the complex kept hassling me. One security guard was kind and helped carry some store items to my dinghy a couple of times. He even showed me where to walk so the dog haters wouldn’t bother me. But today, people yelled at me while I was going through the gate, followed me to my dinghy, and told me not to come back because it was private property. I said I had permission, but they insisted, yelled, and were very rude. I hadn’t done anything wrong and was minding my own business. I hate this place!

The rooms have direct access to the beach, and the facilities are great, with well-equipped rooms, a pool, bars, and very good service. It was incredibly calm and peaceful, and nobody came around trying to sell services or goods. I can’t say exactly how it compares with other hotels, but we had an amazing experience. Great for a honeymoon!

Nice place and a beautiful view from our room, but we just couldn't get the Wi-Fi to connect :/
