The owner said I had to leave and find another hotel, then called the police and went with me to the station. The young man working with him kept threatening that they would put me in jail. This all happened because I listened to music and laughed during breakfast on the terrace. I was at the police department for two hours. In the end, the Italian man who says he owns the place asked the police chief to make me leave, for no reason. Then I spent another two hours carrying my bags around trying to find somewhere else to stay. Their complaint to the police was that I had music on and was laughing while eating breakfast. Is this really a hotel, or some kind of trap? Who are these people, what do they do, and who do they work for? Does the Madagascar government know about this? Why would they target a peaceful tourist and try so hard to get him sent to the police for no clear reason? The day before the trouble, I saw them hanging a picture of Jesus naked, wearing only underwear. Who are they, and why are they doing that? The man claiming to own the property tried to attack me with a large tree branch, trying to hit me on the head.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. We got a warm welcome, and dinner was excellent, home cooked food.

The homemade bread at breakfast was delicious, and the simple breakfast was enough for me. The room had a slight tobacco smell, which was a real downside. There is fiber optic internet in the house, and the price was €17 per night through Booking.com. The rooms are comfortable, with good bedding and a view over Antananarivo, and the bathroom has hot water. It's a quiet place away from the city center's bustle. The owner's first welcome felt cool, but she soon became kind and attentive. I'd recommend this B&B for a longer stay.
