I only ate at the restaurant. The prices were good, especially for wine and drinks. My chicken leg was pretty skinny, but the coconut-peanut sauce was quite good.

Basic, inexpensive room with a hot shower and indoor parking for the moto overnight. Be sure to use the mosquito net.

For 40,000 ariary, the hotel is well placed near restaurants and nightclubs, yet I didn’t hear disruptive noise. It wasn’t busy when I stayed, though. The facilities and toilets are a bit dated, but that’s easy to overlook at this price. There was hot water, air conditioning, and a decent bed with a mosquito net, which I’d strongly recommend in December.

We used the hotel as our base for excursions around Diego, and the owner and his family were warm, friendly, and very accommodating. They’re happy to give advice, so ask them. The location is ideal, with a bank, shops, and taxis nearby. It’s a little dated, but at 60,000 pesos a night the value is hard to beat. I can’t speak to the restaurant since we ate at other places around town.
