Our upstairs room was comfortable and clean, with everything we needed and a stunning view of the beach and sunset. Meals were delicious, with lots of choice, and we especially liked how healthy they were, with very little processed food. We were a group of 13, diving and taking other excursions. The staff welcomed us with dancing and fruit juice, and stayed cheerful, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout. The quad bike tour was brilliant, taking us around much of the island and into local culture, including crocodiles at the scary lake. On another trip, we paddled a traditional kayak into the jungle and saw lemurs, chameleons, snakes, and plenty of other animals. It was the trip of a lifetime, and I’d thoroughly recommend the whole place. I haven’t even talked about diving here, I’ll save that for the Our Ocean Diving site. Thanks, Vinchenzo and all your fabulous staff.

We had a peaceful, relaxing week at beautiful Emeraude Lodge, a lovely place to stay on Nosy Be. If you’re after a bit more activity, they also have a handpicked selection of adventurous day trips to breathtaking spots. Thanks, Vincenzo and team, for making the last stop on our five-month trip so wonderful.

I felt welcome as soon as I arrived at Eneraudo. The staff greeted me by name and gave me warm, personal attention throughout, the kind of genuine hospitality you don’t find everywhere. The spacious rooms were spotless and private, and from mine I could enjoy stunning views over the bay. It’s a great base for diving, or simply relaxing and taking in Nosy Be. I can’t wait to return.

I spent a week at Emeraude in May 2024 and really enjoyed it. It isn’t the island’s most luxurious lodge, but I found it very good value. Diving was the main reason for my trip, and I was happy with the lodge’s affiliated dive shop. I’d suggest full board, since I didn’t see nearby places to eat that looked particularly inviting. My room was spacious and clean, and all the rooms face west, so the sunset views are lovely. The lodge had some electricity problems, which turned out to have an upside: most afternoons I sat by the restaurant and pool with a beer and a book. Vincenzo is very friendly and clearly tries to coach his staff to give good service.
