Royal Andilana Resort Spa

The grounds at Royal Andilana Hotel are green, tidy and lovely to look at, with little animals everywhere, including chameleons, turtles, crabs and even rabbits. Our stay was one of the best holidays of our lives. We especially loved the staff and the food. Everyone was polite, cheerful and helpful without hovering, and they were keen to try speaking Polish. Orders came quickly. Ogor at the lobby bar deserves a special mention for the best Cuba Libre we’ve ever had, along with the local animation team, especially Merlin. There’s a lot to do, too. Kayaks, tennis courts and the gym are free to use, and the gym is open early in the morning. The beach is regularly cleaned and watched by hotel security, with lots of sunbeds. Waiters bring drinks, and beach boys lay out towels or move the beds into sun or shade to suit guests. At meals, the seafood was a big hit, especially the best octopus we’ve ever tried, as well as shrimp, calamari and fish. We also liked the handmade pasta, eggplant dishes, tropical fruits and vanilla sauces, puddings and ice cream. Breakfast waffles, pancakes and crepes were uneven, sometimes soggy or too hard and dense. The much praised desserts didn’t win us over either. The all-inclusive drinks include red and white wine, beer and local rums. We counted 11 different rum flavors. Popular cocktails cost extra, 12 EUR for two, though the bartenders will make drinks to your instructions from what they have, like rum with coke and a squeeze of lime. You could also get soft drinks at the bar before its official opening, and there were tasty snacks throughout the day. The weakest part for us was the entertainment, which started quite late at 9:45 PM and was pretty poor. We didn’t need it anyway.

I stayed for two weeks at Royal Andilana Resort & Spa in Nosy Be and had a really enjoyable time. The food was fresh and delicious, with enough variety that I could try something different each day. The staff were helpful, professional and friendly throughout, which made the stay more comfortable. Animator Durand stood out for his energy, positive attitude and dedication. He made the trip more memorable, and I’ll remember him fondly. I’d gladly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to relax, eat well and enjoy a lovely atmosphere.

We got the relaxing stay we were hoping for, with excellent facilities, including a well kept tennis court that we really enjoyed. Our rooms were roomy and comfortable, and the staff were great and very friendly. The beach was nice and cleaned every day, and there’s an amazing coral reef close by. Meals were always fresh, with a delicious mix of Malagasy and Italian touches. Raisa, Lyonnette, Durand and the rest of the animation team made the holiday even better. Their night shows were fantastic and brought us closer to Malagasy culture. Highly recommended.

Dancing, laughs and great entertainment made for an amazing stay. The hotel had such a cheerful, lively atmosphere, and the staff and animation team were friendly and professional. Durand especially stood out for his energy and knack for making everyone smile. Every day was full of good vibes, and I’d definitely come back.
