The bungalows were incredibly comfortable, and the little restaurant served excellent food. The surroundings were incredible too. Honestly, the most beautiful hotel in the world.

The peaceful setting is full of lush vegetation, with colorful terraces looking out over the ocean. The eco-lodges are charming and the rooms cozy, with comfort clearly a priority. John welcomes you warmly, and Sandra cooks delicious, inventive, exotic food. They’re also happy to offer advice on exploring the country and Malagasy culture. You’re in good hands here, enjoy your stay!

Hello travelers. I’m sharing this as a Google Maps guide, though I’ve forgotten the employee’s name and it’s hard to know what’s true. I live in a nearby village, so I know the place was closed for three years. When I stopped by for coffee, I saw a wealthy older white man with two young women in the restaurant. I also spoke with a female employee, since I usually ask about staff when I visit places. She said she worked a continuous shift from morning until 3 p.m., and that the owners gave her a glass of hot, sweetened water and a piece of bread to eat. She also said her pay wasn’t up to standard. The place now seems abandoned and poorly managed, with few guests. The website photos are misleading: you can’t see the sea at all from this “Lodge.” Guests were probably disappointed to have to walk a kilometer to reach the sea, only to arrive at an ordinary beach covered in garbage, possibly from the hotel. It was advertised as an eco-lodge running on solar power, but a generator supplied most of the energy. Another misleading claim. Locals say the former owners may have tried to make money by turning the hotel forest into a charcoal kiln, selling bags of charcoal for 10,000 ariary (€2). I haven’t checked that myself. I’ll take a picture of the damage soon. See you soon.

What a view at sunrise, with the lodges opening onto cultivated fields below and the sea a little farther off. The setting is magnificent, the welcome very friendly, and the food excellent. A must-see.

The bungalows are immaculate, and the owners are so friendly they’ll bend over backwards for you. An excellent address, and a place to remember.
