View Topia Apartments

The view from the apartment in this photo is stunning. Everything is close by, and the apartments have what you need for a relaxing stay. The owners are so friendly too. It’s a beautiful place, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Having secure, gated parking at the apartments was a real plus since we were traveling by car. The property is about 6 km from the center of Ohrid, and we had a wonderful holiday by Lake Ohrid.

Evenings on the terrace were a highlight: it was quiet, there were no bothersome insects or music from nearby, and we could enjoy coffee or wine with a great view of the lake and hills. A cool breeze comes down from the hill, so opening the windows was enough for us at night, though the apartments do have air conditioning. The host also showed us a short shaded path through the forest to the Prestol Hotel parking lot, about a two-minute walk away. From there, the beach below the Granit Hotel is reachable for swimming and sunbathing, though we preferred some of the other beaches. Our family especially likes Ljubaništa beach, near the Sveti Naum monastery, about 20 kilometers away; the road there has recently been fully renovated and is in good condition. View Topia apartments were clean, fully equipped, and comfortable for our two families, each with two children. The hosts were kind and ready to help. A car, motorbike, or scooter gives you more freedom to visit the nearby beaches and Ohrid’s cultural attractions, since the apartments make a good base for exploring the area. We didn’t need to look for somewhere else to stay in Ohrid, and next time we’ll book months ahead. This time we were lucky to find two apartments just a few days before leaving, but I’d suggest reserving at least a few weeks in advance.

The tricky part is the driveway, especially if you have a long, heavy vehicle. Otherwise, these are really nice apartments, set back from the busy areas and well placed as a starting point for different trips.
