The lake view was what shaped my days here. Sun coming over the mountain behind the apartment filled the room in the morning, and later I’d watch the light move across the water. It felt calming and restorative, and made me slow down and feel present. The property overlooks Lake Ohrid, Macedonia, and I was able to extend my stay, which I appreciated. The hosts were warm and kind, and made me feel included in their world. Their family’s woodshop is nearby, and the care and craftsmanship come through in the furniture and the feel of the place. It’s a 4 min walk to the beautiful church, 5 min to the Kane restaurant and beach club, and about 10 min to the famous boardwalk. I booked through Salvica. This felt like more than a place to stay, and only one other place has made me feel this way. 🫶

The balcony has magnificent views over the lake and town, and it’s only a 7-minute walk into town. The host was lovely, the room was large with a kitchenette, and the price was very reasonable. Ohrid is highly recommended for a relaxing holiday, and this is an ideal base. A couple of things to know: there are no blackout curtains, so bring eyeshades if early light bothers you. They only accepted cash when I stayed, though I’m not sure whether that’s temporary or permanent.

I felt like part of the family here. The host is such a kind, caring woman and helped me with everything. The apartment itself is a gem in Ohrid, clean and comfortable, with a great location and a lovely balcony view. Thank you so much!

The apartment had everything needed for a short stay and was clean. There’s parking in front of the house, and the kind host is in a perfect old town location next to Plaoshnik and the fortress of king Samuel.
