The shower needs fixing. Water drains badly, and there’s a big crack you have to balance around so you don’t stumble getting out. We also had to buy our own toilet paper, and the apartment wasn’t especially clean. The shared kitchen had nearly everything we needed, and the apartment was cozy and not too far from the center. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, except for the lady of the house, who really spoiled the experience. I’m unhappy about being charged for laundry as though it were a service. At other places, paying 5€ per load gets you dry, folded clothes, rather than having to do it all yourself. The washing machine had mold, we used our own detergent, and still paid 10€ to run two loads because the first wash hadn’t cleaned things.

We stayed one night, and that was enough. The apartment was just one room, with a squeaky metal bed, a TV from the 90s, a fridge that barely cooled, and a tiny bathroom with an exposed bulb that could explode if water hit it. No more than one night would be my advice, especially with loud neighbors and distant gunfire from celebrations. For a longer stay, I’d rate it three stars.

It was quiet, very clean, and everyone was respectful. A lovely place to get some peaceful rest.
