Oaza Inn

The gardens and swimming pool were wonderful, and breakfast was fresh and lovely. It's a peaceful little haven run by a welcoming, helpful family. The center of Ohrid is about a 30-minute walk away, or a 5-10 minute taxi ride for €5. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. -Amanda

We had a ground floor apartment in a separate block, looking out over the garden, and it was perfect. Breakfast was provided each day, and the pool area was nice. The gardens are stunning, with lawns, trees, and a pond with lily pads and frogs. You can hire bikes for 5 euros a week, or take a taxi to the center for about 4 euros one way. It's around a 30-minute walk into Ohrid. Jandranka and Blago were wonderful, helpful hosts, and you can tell they put a lot of care into the gardens. There is also an undercover barbeque building by the little river, though we didn't use it. Ohrid is beautifully set beside the lake, with plenty to do nearby. We hired a car for the week and found Oaza Inn an excellent base for exploring more of the country, as well as Albania and Kosovo. Highly recommended!

Ohrid is beautiful, the food is good and the portions are huge, so we shared. The sunset cruise was 10 euros each and well worth it. The couple running the place are lovely, but it's a long walk into town. Taxis cost 5 euros each way, or you can hire their bikes for 5 euros for the week. We'll be back, just nearer the lake next time.

We had a great week at this relaxing hotel. The rooms were clean with nice views, and the owners were very friendly. The garden and swimming pool are beautiful, and there's a BBQ area guests can use. Breakfast was good, with good coffee and fresh baked bread every morning. It's just outside the center, so evenings are quiet. The lake and many restaurants are a five-minute drive away, and you can also rent bikes from the owners. I can recommend it to everyone.
