Lile Pestani Accommodation

The garden was the best part of our June stay at Lile. It felt like living among vines, flowers, and trees, and I even watched a banana tree fruiting right beside a pine. Though the property is near the road, the apartments sit farther back, so it's very quiet. Each patio has a shade cover, and we could choose sun or shade. I was working and studying, and spent most of the day on that peaceful patio, taking breaks for a swim in the lake. The pool is handy for a quick dip, and the lake is less than 100 meters from the apartment door. Galeo and Kaj Mestono, two of the best restaurants in Peshtani, are both under a five-minute walk away. The bedrooms are standard and fine, but I spent nearly all my time outside. My partner and I feel lucky we found this place in Peshtani. The host family made it even better. Boro is one of the friendliest, most generous people I've met, and you can tell he cares about hosting and his guests. He'd often offer me coffee in the morning and was always happy to share his delicious home-brewed whiskey. Thanks for everything, Boro. I really treasure the time I spent at Lile. I'd absolutely recommend it.

A young woman there was understanding and reassured us, which was a bright spot. The owner, though, interrupted us repeatedly during the day with overly personal questions, and walking through the facility in the middle of the night made us feel unsafe. The apartment was in bad shape: old sheets, an uncomfortable mattress, and no amenities. You also have to cross three neighbors' yards to reach the villa. It was a very unpleasant stay, and I don't recommend it.

The lake beach is right across from the apartments, and this is a great base for visiting lovely spots around Ohrid. There are vegetables all around, which made it a relaxing place to stay. The housekeepers were incredibly friendly and upbeat. Breakfast was great, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby too.
