The breakfast was fine, but didn’t feel worthy of the 5 star rating. The spa was pleasant, though it lacked focus and the jacuzzi wasn’t working. The room looked nice at first, but the bed and furniture felt cheap. Hot water never got properly warm, and the windows wouldn’t close fully. It might have been a good review for a 3 star hotel, but it doesn’t live up to its 5 star claim.

Logan at reception was a legend, so friendly and welcoming, and gave us great tips for seeing the city. The location is right in the heart of Skopje near the main sights, and there’s free parking, a spa, and nice rooms. By western standards it may not be a typical 5 star hotel, but Logan helped make it feel like one to us. One of our windows had a gap around it, so cold air got into the room when it was close to 0 degrees Celsius outside. Reception quickly brought us their own storage heater, and the room warmed up right away. Thanks from Ireland, Logan!

The room was cozy and warm, with plenty of space, and it came with slippers, a bathrobe, tea, and coffee. The staff were friendly, and the location is right in the center. But I was very disappointed with the spa, which was one of the reasons I booked. The jacuzzi and Turkish baths weren’t working, the steam room didn’t seem to work properly, and the pool was cold. Breakfast also fell short of the hotel’s standard. I had better options at the 2 star hotel I stayed in before this. Don’t stay here if you’re counting on a good breakfast and spa.

The staff were helpful from check-in onward, including with local tips, and the location made getting around easy. The hotel was clean and calm, and the quiet, comfortable spa helped me recover from travel fatigue during my first visit to North Macedonia. The massage deserves a special mention. My therapist from Vietnam was skilled, attentive, and made it very relaxing. I’d recommend booking one. I had a very pleasant stay and would be glad to return to Skopje. Thank you.
