The old town location is nice, and the place is generally clean with lots of gold decor. Just be ready for the prayer call, which is loud very early in the morning. The spa was the worst I’ve ever been to. There was no water from the shower head in the women’s bath, and it was cold everywhere: the room, the pool, the spa water, the sauna at 60 degrees, the steam bath, even the supposedly heated chair. We were freezing and went back to our room. At the restaurant, our group menu had only “European” food, so we didn’t try local dishes. Maybe those are better. The European dishes weren’t very good: the carbonara was awful and nothing like real carbonara. All the desserts had a strange artificial vanilla taste, with no vanilla seeds in sight. They forgot our drinks twice. Breakfast had stale-tasting chocolate flakes, boring waffles that weren’t homemade, and a big selection of salads that all looked like they’d been cut the day before. The selection really is huge, though. For two days, Ed Sheran played very loudly on repeat, the same songs again and again. There were signs taped to the wall, protective film still on the door handle, shelves halfway falling down, and sheets too short for the bed. If this were a two-star hotel, I’d have rated it highly, but all these flaws and mistakes aren’t worth five stars. Maybe some people will like it, but I wouldn’t. I’d rather stay somewhere cheaper and get more homemade food. It feels like they’re trying too hard to look fancy and going for bigger, shinier, flashier things while forgetting quality.

Luna was the reason I gave this place 5 stars. She was incredibly kind and made sure we had a good time. She deserves employee of the month and better recognition. The hotel had water problems that affected all the rooms, and the water was really cold. The spa pool was meant to be hot but was cold, the salt room wasn’t warm enough, and after room service we were given torn towels. I didn’t expect this from a five-star hotel. A few employees were lovely and did their best to help, but that was the only good part.

The breakfast was below average, and the rooms aren’t anything special. Still, it was clean, the price was great, and a decent wellness area was included. Honestly, I wouldn’t call it a five-star hotel.

The minaret is very close, so the call to prayer gets pretty loud, and there’s some construction nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful during my four nights. Breakfast was generous, with grilled vegetables, soup, spreads, olives, eggs, and more. Our two-hour spa pass was free, and the wet and dry saunas and salt room were clean and enjoyable. The memory foam beds and comfortable pillows were good, and the water pressure was okay.
