Concept Hotel Central

The rooms were clean and up to a good standard, WiFi worked well, and breakfast was pretty good. Reception is on the first floor rather than ground level, and the people there were welcoming and nice. A very good family-run hotel at a nice price. Recommended.

It’s basically a hostel with a bathroom for each room. The design is cool and the idea is nice, but the materials used to turn open business space into rooms don’t block enough noise for a proper night’s sleep. Breakfast was nice, though.

The staff at reception were very nice and helpful, but the room wasn’t cleaned every day and it was cold everywhere. We had to wear winter coats at breakfast each morning. We stayed for 5 nights in January. When we arrived around 2 p.m., the room was only 8 degrees, so it didn’t seem ready for guests. We hadn’t specified our arrival time in the reservation. We were given an extra heater, and the owner said the temperature should be okay in two days. Everything in the room, including the bed and linens, was very cold. Breakfast was very basic and the same each day. We were also asked to pay midway through the stay because the owner had a trip, though the owner was at the hotel every day until we left.

Parking was somewhat limited and poorly marked. We were lucky to find a space and make sure it was the right one. On our first night the central ventilation ran all night and couldn’t be controlled from the room, so I didn’t get the sleep I needed. It was off the second night, which was much better. Breakfast was okay, but the same food can get boring if you stay more than 2 days.
