The junior suites work well for a longer stay in Bamako, with a living room and kitchenette downstairs and a bedroom upstairs. My apartment was clean when I arrived, though apparently daily cleaning wasn’t included. The staff were laid-back but helpful. There’s a restaurant next door for basic meals, but no bar in the immediate area.

I stayed in a two-bedroom apartment at Micasa Golf. It looked clean at first, but after settling in I noticed dusty cabinets and stains on the bed and sofas. The kitchen flooded every day, even after daily repairs. There’s no restaurant on site or laundry service, and the location wasn’t great, despite being described as one of Bamako’s safest areas. I can’t fault the staff, though, they were friendly, professional and always willing to help.
