The live music was peng, and the setting was awesome. I came in for a meal, ordered rib eye steak with sautéed potatoes, and found it grand for the price. I also had Doppel, the local beer that sits somewhere between Guinness and beer.

The owner recently redid the whole layout, and the new bar is awesome. There’s a huge open garden space inside, with Baobab trees, and the WiFi is strong enough for teleworking. The staff are great too. This hidden oasis in Bamako is becoming one of my regular spots.

The people were kind, the food was amazing, and the stay was comfortable and really affordable. They only take cash, and the main road is a little way off, though not too far. I had a great stay and would come back.

After a long, hot day, the garden fountain was a lovely place to unwind. The rooms are up to a great standard, with AC and hot water in the showers. I loved this oasis in very hot Bamako.
