Being right by the river gives the place a nice atmosphere. The food and customer service are only average, though, and the restrooms could use a better cleaning.

I came to Segou for work and stayed here. The rooms are comfortable, the food is great, and the views of the Niger are lovely. Service was good too. I'd highly recommend taking a boat ride to see hippos!

The Niger river view is the standout here, and you can have dinner or a drink on the terrace above the water. The pool, garden, and food give Hotel Vue de l'Esplanade an oasis feel in this dry region. The rooms are very clean, and wifi is free. There's service around the clock, with a high level of quality for guests. It's known as the best hotel in Segou, Mali, and I'd say it's certainly the best in town, a relaxing place to stay.
