I usually choose this hotel when I need to stay overnight in Bago. It’s kept in good shape, and the staff are friendly and capable. The buffet breakfast is pretty good, and the in-room entertainment and WiFi are decent. Since it tends to fill up, book ahead if you want a particular room. Its biggest plus for me is having electricity around the clock, even with Bago’s frequent blackouts.

The room I got after booking online was like a trash can, and it was much too small. Breakfast was 🤮. The receptionists were unethical, and the air conditioner didn’t work well. This is my honest review. If you want a bad experience like mine, enjoy Kanbawza Hinthar Hotel.

The poolside view, with all the trees, was my favorite part, and the room was tidy. Service was very good too. It’s a little way from downtown, but still convenient. A fair-priced, quiet place, and I’d recommend it to someone looking for that.

The stray dogs around the hotel worried me, especially in the evening when they come begging at the outdoor dining tables while guests’ kids are playing nearby. I’d be concerned about a dog bite, so the hotel should manage them. A towel rack near the pool would also be useful. This was my second business trip here, and the experience was much like last year: service and room amenities were so-so, with nothing new to get excited about.
