Rivertop Lodge

The beach is only about a three-minute walk away, and there are loungers and umbrellas there, so I’d rather spend time on it than by the resort pool. The rooms are large and very clean, and the staff are helpful. Getting picked up and dropped off at the airport is available, and breakfast has a huge selection. There are plenty of good seafood restaurants nearby. It costs less than the competing places around it while still meeting Western standards.

I’ve stayed here twice and would happily come back. There are shops and restaurants nearby, and I thought the hotel restaurant was pretty good too. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the Wi-Fi was quite good by Myanmar hotel standards. Staff are friendly and helpful. It’s one of my favourite places in Ngapali. Though it isn’t beachfront, the hotel has its own section of beach just across the road.

A free shuttle runs to and from the airport, and there are deck chairs under umbrellas on the beach. The rooms were cleaned every day, and both the location and breakfast were good. One annoyance: the shower kept swinging between very hot and very cold. Also, please don’t claim a deck chair with a towel and leave for ages. Take your things with you so other people have a chance to use it.

I stayed for five nights last January. The hotel has a swimming pool, and its beach seats are only about 100 metres away across the road. The management and staff were really nice and helpful, always ready to do what they could to give good service. I’d recommend staying here.
