This is a quiet hideaway on a lovely hill among pine trees, not far from the clock tower. I’m a smoker, and I liked spending hours in the outdoor smoking area, sipping coffee and reading books or on my phone in Kalaw’s chilly weather. The shelves have interesting books, and the coffee is free-flowing. It’s a great place for people who want quiet. The breakfast is good value, though neither the service nor quality is top tier. I’d especially suit honeymoon couples looking for a peaceful, romantic break from the busy days, traffic, and noise of cities like Yangon, Mandalay, or Bangkok.

The rooms were clean and the hot showers were good. I ran short of cash on my last day, and they helped me work it out, since you can’t pay by card. The woman at the front desk was so kind, and the homemade breakfast bread was delicious. One of the nicest places you could stay.

Breakfast was delicious, especially the Shan noodles. The room was big, with a very nice bathroom. It’s a peaceful place with friendly staff and plenty of nature nearby. You’re not far from the market and busier areas, but the property sits on a quiet side road.

I loved my stay here and couldn’t recommend it more. The BnB has a really cute feel, the staff were great to deal with, and my room was very comfortable. Breakfast was the best I had on my trip.

The rooms are super clean, and I was especially impressed by the good environmental practices in place. Breakfast was freshly made and the cherry on top. For me, this is the best place to stay in Kalaw. Highly recommend it ❤️
