Parking is tight, and the rooms feel cramped with very little daylight. A fire exit is also routinely blocked by hotel equipment and clothes. Service has been weaker lately, which I understand may be connected to the current situation in Myanmar. The price is reasonable for both locals and foreigners, so I'd call the stay neither especially good nor especially bad.

It's hard to get a booking because the hotel seems nearly full each time. The rooms have good facilities, and the free Wi-Fi connection is strong. I also liked that the backup generator runs all night. Breakfast isn't included, though.

I enjoyed my stay, even though the dorm I booked through Hostelworld was being renovated when I arrived. The staff were very helpful, contacting my bus to Bagan and arranging a private driver around Mandalay.

The location worked well for food, with the night bazaar on 76th Street offering plenty of Shan dishes. Breakfast was good, the staff service was really good, and the rate felt fair. My non-smoking room was clean and had no odor. The room itself was small, and the free Wi-Fi lagged. Staff spoke loudly in the hallway and over their walkie-talkies. I could also hear noise from the nearby Dhamma hall loudspeaker, starting as early as 5:30 a.m.

It's close to the night market and Ocean shopping center, with lots of local food nearby. Breakfast is available, most rooms have the necessary facilities, and there's a lift that works for wheelchair access. The entrance is quite small and often crowded with taxis since the hotel sits beside a busy road.
