The lift signage says 98% of guests are mainland Chinese, and the name itself clearly indicates Chinese ownership. The lobby feels cold and uneasy, and doesn't feel safe. It needs more lighting, which would also show off the exquisite Chinese decor. The staff are polite, though. The lift seems newly upgraded, but the rooms are average and the toilet isn't sparkling clean, so this doesn't seem to be a new hotel. The upstairs restaurant has glass all around and was surprisingly neat. With all the lights on, it could feel welcoming, a sharp contrast with the lobby. A local told me that streets 32 and 33 onwards aren't safe to linger on in the evening. My advice is to let the hotel serve mainland Chinese guests, since that's what they specialize in.
