Ramada Encore Mandalay

The rooftop Sky Bar on the 11th floor has an amazing view, and breakfast was great too. My room was clean and spacious enough, with a great view of Mandalay. The staff are well trained and provide great service. My ratings: room 4/4, service 4/4, location 3/4, price 3/4, breakfast 4/4. Overall, I’d give the hotel 72/100, or a B+.

We got a room upgrade with a great view, and the staff were helpful and spoke English well. The breakfast was pretty good, and the rooftop bar was surprisingly nice for Myanmar. The gym was average, though I liked the new cycling bike. My wife and I stayed in January 2020, and it was a solid stay. I’d come back if I’m in Mandalay again.

The rooftop bar on Level 11 lets you catch both sunrise and sunset without heading out to Mandalay Hill. It's a great spot. Rooms are a decent size, the water pressure is good, and the facilities feel modern. One thing that surprised me was the notice saying you have to pay if you lose the key card or damage something. It didn't happen to me, though. Otherwise, all good.

The staff were as pleasant and helpful as could be, and the restaurant food was above average. I had a large, very clean room with a king bed, probably the best room I’ve stayed in during my many trips around Myanmar over two years. The hotel is new, though parts like the gym and spa still need finishing. The rooftop bar is lovely. It's a little south of central Mandalay, but tourist spots are easy to reach by tuk-tuk or taxi, and plenty of restaurants are walkable. I highly recommend it for tourists and business travelers.
