The fish fingers had gone off badly. I could smell it from a distance, so I left the whole plate rather than risk food poisoning. The ribs were just as disappointing: I paid $5 for one burnt rib that had been chopped into tiny pieces. At that price I expected half a rack. Honestly, the meal was disgusting. Never eat here.

The staff were kind and attentive, but the management and overall experience were awful. The Agoda photos and price were misleading, and at check-in they asked my partner to show a marriage certificate. If that was required, it should have been stated in the booking details. The room and facilities were old, and the bed linen was in disgusting condition. We left early but had already paid for the whole trip. Management also seemed to have trouble understanding English. I wouldn't come back.

I've stayed here twice now, and the rooms are really spacious. I also like the separate sliding doors. The room needed more attention when cleaning because it was a bit dusty. Staff don't speak English very well, but they did make an effort. Foreigners pay double the local price, which felt a little unfair. Breakfast choices were limited, though you can get eggs made to order from 7 to 9am, so that doesn't help if you sleep in. Still a good stay, and I'll be back.

The rooftop bar has excellent views, though you have to pay in USD. From the first and second floors, you can't see Mandalay Palace.

The deluxe room with two beds was 90,000 kyats. The room was okay, breakfast was okay, and the Wi-Fi worked well. It's about a 10-minute walk to Zaycho, but parking only fits five cars. The Skybar on the seventh floor is expensive, with a tiny menu and very small portions, so I wouldn't go there just to relax.
