I loved the scent of the bath foam, and the staff greeted guests with “Mingalarpar” wherever they met them in the hotel. Everyone, including the security staff, seemed well trained. I stayed three nights and four days in a family room on the 9th floor. I didn't like its view when I arrived, but reception arranged a room change right away. The room was neat, clean, and had a luxurious feel. Housekeeping did a good job, and the food was good too.

The rooftop restaurant has an awesome view, and breakfast had a decent spread. The bed and comforter were good quality, housekeeping did a nice job, and the shower pressure was satisfying. I'm sensitive to smells, so I'd ask for a non-smoking room. Some rooms smell of cigarette smoke from previous guests.

We were very happy with our choice of “The Home Hotel.” On our second stay, breakfast had plenty of choices too. Its central location made it easy to find Tuktuks for short trips to Mandalay sights and restaurants, and the staff were professional and very helpful. We'd book again anytime. Our room was spacious, newly renovated, spotlessly clean, and had lots of storage, bedside tables, and plugs on both sides of the bed. The Wi-Fi was good. There were power cuts, as everywhere in Myanmar, but the hotel got its generator running quickly, so the AC worked all night when needed. The new bathroom had a good shower. The bed was on the firm side, but comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. The staff were excellent, friendly, and professional.

The restaurant and corner room had superb views. The room was clean, roomy, and nice, with a great breakfast selection. Staff from reception to the bell desk spoke English and were professional. The power came back after swaps of 1-2 minutes, and there was a good selection of Hollywood and international movies in English.

The staff were very nice, and reception gave good restaurant advice. My room was clean, and breakfast was pretty good. The hotel was being renovated and should be much more luxurious when the work is finished. For now, there's no elevator, so I'd choose a lower floor. Secure motorcycle parking is available.
