The front office staff were welcoming and very helpful, always ready with a smile, and they confirmed our early check-in. Service from them was an absolute five star. Breakfast was fresh and quite good, a pleasant surprise. I also loved the restaurant’s ambiance, it felt luxurious just being there. The grounds were amazing to walk around, and we might encounter a family of geese. The pool was one of the best I’ve seen, and the gym was great too. The staff looking after the grounds were so friendly. The room itself was simple and missing even teaspoons. The window wasn’t very large, so there wasn’t much daylight. In the late evening and early morning, nobody really cleaned up leftovers from other guests. Food wasn’t a four star experience. We were alone in the restaurant, but pasta and a Myanmar tea leaf salad took 45 minutes. Honestly, the Bolognese was one of the worst pasta dishes I’ve ever had. It cost 37000 total. With the location, there aren’t many other options, and nobody delivers to that area.

It isn’t pet friendly, though small pets should be allowed under some conditions. There aren’t many viewpoints or places to rest, and there are too few attendants. The gardens don’t seem to get maintained.

We stayed here as a family, and everything was fine apart from one awful problem with the receptionist girl,Thae Su. She was impolite and irresponsible, and didn’t do her job professionally. She seemed incompetent, and because of her our family trip was disrupted.

The restaurant food was outstanding, and the staff were so gracious and accommodating. I loved the beautifully decorated rooms, especially the bathrooms, and wished I could have stayed more than two nights. I was in Myanmar for a wedding in May and could hardly believe this was a hotel. It felt more like a resort or a time share. I had to take a video to show my family back home because I never could have described the place well enough. I’m glad I got to see the new capital, and anyone visiting Myanmar needs to make sure they see it.
