RIA Resort

Breakfast tasted good, but the dining area was dirty, with bird droppings around. Sparrows kept coming in and even picked food off my plate. The room was clean and bright, though a bit cramped. There wasn’t much bathroom space for towels or clothes, and the towels were torn.

The staff were good overall, although I did encounter an impatient person on the phone. Breakfast was good, and they often have a deal on an extra night. The hotel still works for a quiet, relaxing break, with a decent pool. The rooms are small, with attractive wooden and bamboo furniture. A stream runs through the hotel toward the beach, and you have to cross it to reach the sea, though it’s shallow. The beach is rocky too, so it’s not a great spot for swimming.

The rooms are on the small side, but comfortable. Service was excellent, the food was good, and there’s a nice pool. Swimming at the beach isn’t so good because there are too many rocks. They sometimes offer great discounts in the low season.

Having a pool right outside our sea-view room at RIA Resort in Ngwe Saung was a real treat. We’d start the day with a swim there, then head to the ocean. The room was spacious and a good place to unwind. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and the food we ordered through room service was decent. We chose the sea-view room for the ocean scenery, and waking up to that view made the stay feel special.
