Myanmar Han Hotel

The staff were terrific and helped whenever they could. After checkout, they even let us use the pool while we waited for our bus, and called the bus company to confirm the pickup. The hotel has spacious rooms beside the pool and a varied, tasty breakfast. We had dinner there too, which tasted good but was quite greasy. Laundry and electric scooter rental were reasonably priced. There’s a free scheduled bus to the centre, but skip the sunrise shuttle if you want to return to the hotel right away, since it leaves you there for almost two hours. I’d definitely come back.

It’s on Bagan’s outskirts, about 8km away, but the hotel runs a free shuttle into Bagan during scheduled hours. The setting was very quiet, with hardly any noise, and our cozy, comfortable room had air conditioning and a pool view. We also enjoyed the restaurant, pool, and bar. The staff were friendly, polite, and attentive, and the stay felt like good value for the money.

I liked being a little away from the old, noisy city. The area is quiet and the view is nice, though you may see quite a few Chinese groups. The owner is a nice guy, and the staff are very friendly. Prices for things like bike rental and water seem fair, which isn’t common everywhere, but the spa may be a bit overpriced. Breakfast is a buffet only when there are enough guests. If you book a tour, double-check what kind of car they’re offering to avoid a misunderstanding. A cozy spot for a solo trip, a couple, or a family.

Our bus arrived early in the morning, and they let us check in straight away. The location isn’t ideal, but you can take the free shuttle or rent an e-bike. Breakfast was good and service was excellent. It was handy to have a water bottle in the room instead of having to fetch water from the lobby.
