We had a pleasant stay, and the old part still had a comfy bed and plenty of hot water. Some rooms and shared areas could have been cleaner. The guesthouse has both a newer and an older section, and on a tight budget like mine, you should expect to be put in the older one. The reception lady was incredibly friendly and helpful, with lots of useful information. Renting one of the new e-bikes was easy, and they worked perfectly. Breakfast was great when we ordered local cuisine. The location is very good, within walking distance of the Mandalay-Bagan jetty.

The walls were thin, so noisy guests could make it hard to sleep, as seems to be the case in many places. Otherwise, we found the rooms clean and the staff very helpful, and it was a great deal for what we paid. Breakfast was the same each day, fried eggs and toast with jam, but it tasted good. We stayed a few days and didn't mind the repetition, especially since breakfast was included.

Katy was wonderful the whole time, so kind and helpful. When I got sick, she even made me a ginger, lemon, and honey drink. I had a really nice room, the best shower I'd had in over a year, and delicious mohinga for breakfast. I really, really didn't want to leave. This was the best place I've stayed in during 2 and a half years on the road.

For 7-9$, this is a very good, inexpensive alternative to the pricier hotels in town. We arrived without a reservation at 4am and the friendly staff still gave us a room. The location is handy for restaurants and e-bike rentals, and near Bagan. The bathroom and room were very clean. Breakfast was okay, just toast, and there's free Wi-Fi, though the signal wasn't very strong.

My friend and I stayed in a fan-only room and were comfortable. It's family-run, and the staff were very helpful. The location works well on a budget, with temples close enough to reach and bicycle or motorbike rentals available.
