Naung Yoe Hotel

We were pleasantly surprised by the motel. Getting into town or out to the archaeological site takes some travel, so renting a scooter there was useful. The rooms are spacious, breakfast was great, and you can even have it brought to your room. The staff were extremely kind and did their best to handle all our requests.

Breakfast was really good, and the price is affordable. The rooms were clean too. Some staff could use more training, though, since they didn't know how to speak politely to guests. Even so, I'd recommend the place.

The TV and air conditioning both worked well, and breakfast includes Pyay speciality dishes. But the service was generally poor. Staff didn't follow up on basic requests like cleaning the room, bringing water bottles, or changing towels. The bathroom also smelled a little and wasn't clean enough.

The beds and breakfast were okay for what we paid. Housekeeping, though, was bad, and the rooms aren't soundproof. For two people there was just one cheap shampoo packet, and they didn't provide toilet paper, even after I asked. The soaps were tiny, with the same kind for handwashing and showering.
