Hotel Spring

The one good point was that the connection worked well. Everything else was a problem. The room had no usable phone, the TV had no channels, the bathroom was dirty and in poor condition, and the furniture was so old it could break with ordinary use. Breakfast was bad too. I stayed four nights. The bed cover and blanket were already dirty when I arrived and were never replaced before checkout. The door lock broke while we were locking it normally. They first demanded 30000 MMK, and after we asked for a lower amount because it had broken during normal use, we ended up paying 20000 MMK. That made us feel their old furniture was not fit to use. Anyone staying at Hotel Spring should handle the facilities or property as gently as a young baby, because if an old item breaks in your hands, they make you pay for a new one.

We only had a short stay in POL last August, in rooms B1+B2, but the staff made sure we were comfortable and helped with anything we needed. They greeted us warmly and even took care of breakfast. Loved how they treated us.

What bothered us was how the staff handled the problem, not the money itself. The bathroom lock in my room was already broken and could not be locked. On the last day, my friend turned the inside handle to come in, and the outside handle fell off. We explained what happened, but still had to pay for it, and the staff couldn't resolve things in a way that satisfied us. Their customer care was really annoying.

The room and location were great, but the service fell short. A friend was quoted one price and charged a higher one the next day. A hotel needs reception staff who can explain its policies clearly.
