Excel River View Hotel

The sinks in both of our rooms were broken, though the bathroom fixtures were fine. The rooms also need renovation. Room service was terrible: they blamed me for leaving a dirty room, even though they hadn't cleaned it the day before when I asked. They were very rude and disrespectful. Breakfast wasn't good, but it was edible. The pool needs more frequent cleaning. Overall, a terrible experience.

The poolside restaurant added 1000/ plus a 10% service fee to deliver food to the pool. Staff weren't honest about the food charge: when we asked for a receipt, they wrote the extra amount in pen on the back. Asking for a manager or supervisor turned into a merry-go-round. In the room, the bedsheets and bathtub were dirty, the toilet smelled, and the electrical wiring was concerning. The pool water was deep green and cloudy, with algae floating in it. Never again.

The green pool water was something else. I booked the second most expensive room, but had to move several times because of the noise. I could clearly hear guests talking in the next room, and the floor itself was noisy. A group of guests were fighting, and nobody from the hotel came to deal with it. My room was very dirty, the facilities were broken, and there was a bad smell. The sheets and pillows smelled so bad I had to cover a pillow with my towel to sleep. If you want somewhere to rest, this isn't it.
