AKT Hotel - A Kyi Taw

The door wouldn’t lock from inside, which made it feel unsafe. The room was wet, with water on the floor, and smelled of cigarettes, especially in the bathroom. The bedsheets were filthy. I asked for clean ones but never got them, and my aunty and I both felt itchy and couldn’t sleep well. The bathroom mat was wet and dirty, almost muddy, and got my feet dirty again when I stepped on it. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly either. There were cigarette butts on the floor, the floor seemed not to have been washed in ages, and the towels weren’t clean. The staff weren’t well trained and didn’t do what we asked. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, a disaster. You should never even think of staying here.

I found this place online and was disappointed when I arrived. The service, layout, and room condition didn’t match what I’d seen online. They didn’t provide enough personal hygiene items, the towels were old, and the bedsheet didn’t look clean. The price should be reasonable, but the service isn’t worth what they charge.

It’s quiet and comfortable, with good customer service and a fair price. The room was clean, though a little narrow, and it’s near Chan Thar plaza. You can hear noise from next door, but it wasn’t too bad. Calling reception meant waiting about a minute to check out.

The staff were friendly, which is why I’m giving it one star. There was exposed wiring in the bathroom, especially by the water heater, and the cups were dirty. The facilities don’t even meet basic standards, with no electric kettle, and there was an expired product in the mini-bar. The blanket had a blood stain. There’s no security guard at night, and smoking outside the hotel wasn’t peaceful because there were too many stray dogs.
