A good, cheap choice in a central spot. Our room was clean, though the decor was a bit suspect. We had a twin room with a balcony looking down onto the street, and I’d recommend booking one if it’s available. There are several flights of stairs up to reception. If you have heavy bags, you may want to ask reception for help.

The staff were very friendly, informative, and happy to help, and the bathrooms were spotless. We were lucky to get a front room with AC and big windows facing a quiet street. It’s a great location too, with the main downtown sights within walking distance and good public transport to the key train and bus stations. Totally recommended!

The view from the 8th floor was pretty incredible, and the open floor gave it a nice atmosphere. It also meant it never really got quiet at night. Some rooms are on that floor, and if you don’t like stairs, it can be a drag. Even the lobby is on the 4th floor, so it definitely isn’t wheelchair accessible. We really enjoyed this guesthouse in downtown Yangon. The facilities are pleasant, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the location drops you right into the middle of downtown life, near lots of things you might have come to see. And the breakfast is actually good. What a relief!

The room had no window, and the hot shower never got much past lukewarm. Those felt like minor issues given the price, the location, and especially how kind the staff were. It’s a very friendly guesthouse right in the heart of downtown, with plenty of places within walking distance and everything else a cheap taxi ride away. A good base for exploring Yangon.
