The staff were friendly, professional, attentive, and helpful, and they could speak English. I tried the traditional Burmese food and enjoyed how it tasted and was prepared. Bottled drinking water was available and replenished often. My room was clean and spacious, with a king-size bed, lots of luggage space, and an attached toilet. It was quiet enough for a good night's sleep, although the scenery wasn't much to look at. Mango Hill is about a 10-minute drive from Yangon International Airport. Mingala Royal Lake is a 15-minute walk away, and Tooth Relic Pagoda is a 20-minute walk. Staff can arrange a private car.

The garden breakfast was a highlight, and the place is pleasantly quiet compared with downtown Yangun. We stayed in the top room category, which was great and looked out toward the garden’s “defining” mango tree. The service was great too, and the staff were super friendly. It’s closer to the airport than Yangun center. A taxi trip into the center can take over an hour when traffic is bad, but the airport is only about 15 minutes away.

Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were fantastic and very helpful. We had some great conversations about the country over breakfast. Mango Hill Inn feels like a peaceful oasis in interesting Yangon, with a lovely property and clean, comfortable rooms. The bathroom was nice, with a great bath and hot water. It’s close to the airport, which works well for a stopover or an early flight. Schwedegon Pagoda and the CBD are also only about 30 minutes away. Highly recommended.

We were only there for a few hours, but the staff went the extra mile and made everything easy and pleasant. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with AC. Breakfast in the garden had a great atmosphere.
