Hotel Azure

On 14.11.2025, about two hours after I checked in, a housekeeper tried to open my door with a master key card. The latch stopped it from opening all the way, but he shoved the door hard about three times. He didn't close it afterward and left it wide open. Maybe they thought I'd gone out right after checking in, or perhaps the staff hadn't communicated. Only whoever was responsible knows. I told reception about it when I went out that evening. They just replied casually, “Yes, understood.” At checkout on 15.11.2025, the two receptionists on duty seemed to wait for my response and said the plastic seal on a noodle cup I'd never touched was torn. I didn't want a long argument, so I paid 5,000 kyats for it and handed the cup back. Does Housekeeping check and mark a room as “Inspected” before a guest arrives? If they do, how did this happen? Are guests and Housekeeping supposed to enter together and check everything at check-in? I had two unpleasant problems and didn't even get the appearance of an apology. What qualifications do people at this Hotel Azure have to work there? Knowing the routine isn't enough if they lack service skills. They won't do well in hospitality or turn first-time guests into repeat customers. The owner needs to manage things and make sure the staff are properly trained.

The rooms were clean and smelled good, and the food tasted nice. Service was fair, though they could do more. The dining room also needs better lighting and fresh air.

A nice hotel for resting, with a happy feel. The room and toilet were good, and breakfast and other food ordered from the menu were delicious.

I stayed at Azure for a week in July and really liked the room. It was clean and met hotel standards, but the service was very weak. There was no doorman to welcome guests, and the receptionists gave poor service. They didn't know how to communicate with customers or smile, which is basic in a hotel. The hotel should hire professional receptionists or train them properly. We also had to open the car park door ourselves in the morning.
