Prestige Residences at Golden Valley

The rooftop is a nice spot to relax, and the location makes getting around easy. If you like walking, there are two shopping malls within walking distance. The rooms aren’t especially spacious, but each has a nice bathroom with a bathtub.

The pool was in awful shape, with leftover food, beer bottles, and rubbish scattered around. Food quality has also noticeably gone downhill, and even the buffet, which used to be a highlight, was poorly managed. Refills came late, and staff would disappear after bringing out one item. We’ve stayed at Prestige many times with our family and usually enjoyed it, so this latest visit was a real letdown. Dinner service was painfully slow and disorganized. We ordered at 6 PM for a 7 PM meal, but waited an hour for the first dish, and everything else came separately after long gaps. The chicken skewers and fried kangkung were cold. The tom yum soup arrived cold after another 20 minutes, then the shrimp dish came 20 minutes later. The pork showed up only after we’d finished eating. It ruined our appetite and our family dinner. The waitstaff were polite and apologized, but the delays seemed to come from poor kitchen management and coordination. Customer service staff were still friendly and courteous, but poor management, unhygienic facilities, and declining food quality spoiled the stay. Prestige no longer feels like the welcoming, high-standard place we remembered. We’ve decided we won’t return. We valued our past stays and hope this feedback is taken seriously so things can improve for future guests.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all. The room was dark and stuffy, and the towels were torn, musty-smelling, and not clean. The air conditioner leaked and left the floor wet and messy. The room also smelled strongly of mosquito repellent. There was no air freshener, and when I complained, staff told me to put up with the smell. Is that really the standard for a 4-star hotel? The room was extremely old and didn’t match the photos on Agoda. This isn’t 4-star quality, 2 stars at best. I was very disappointed with my stay.

Our plans for a friend’s birthday were ruined when the room we’d booked 10 days ahead was canceled just 3 days before the event. They said it wasn’t available. That was extremely irresponsible and unprofessional. I don’t recommend booking here.
